I enjoy trying out different bath and body products because that's a great way of finding out which ones are best for me. When it comes to shower gels, I like those that can be worked up into a nice lather and fill the bathroom with calming scents.

With body lotions, I usually stick to brands with formulations that leave my skin soft and moisturized for hours without the sticky feeling. A pleasant scent is always a welcome bonus.

I found these combinations and more with Spa Essentials' new products. Aside from massage oils, Spa Essentials has recently come up with shower gels and lotions in two variants: Stress Relief (with green labels) and Energy (with orange labels).

I first used the Energy shower gel a couple of weeks ago. I woke up tired with less than four hours of sleep and since I had to attend a media event that morning, I had to force myself to get up and get ready. I grabbed the bottle of Energy shower gel and brought it with me to the bathroom. After I poured some liquid on my bath lily, I was surrounded by the invigorating smell of peppermint. Once I toweled off, I proceeded to apply the Energy lotion all over my body then quickly dressed to go out. While passing by my husband, he commented that I smelled like I just came from a spa.

Before I was out the door, I slowly felt heat enveloping parts of my body that I applied the lotion on. I was amazed at the kind of Omega Pain Killer effect but welcomed the heat because I happened to have some aches on my shoulders and back at the time.

When I got home that night, I once again took a bath and used the shower gel then applied the lotion. This time, I made sure to ask hubby to also apply some on my back. The creeping warmth was very pleasant and gave me quite a peaceful sleep that night. Despite having to get up early again the next morning, I did feel refreshed and energized because I didn't feel my usual morning body aches.

I was so happy with the Energy line that it took me more than a week to try the Stress Relief products. Although quite milder than Energy's skin warming effects, I like Stress Relief for its scent which reminds me a lot of the chewable vitamin C tablets that my mom used to give me as a kid.

On a side note, I recently found out that my eldest son also likes the smell of the Energy shower gel and has been using it every day as well. So that's why the bottle is being emptied more quickly! Looks like I'd have to buy us a new bottle soon.

Although the two lines have different purposes, the moisturizing effect on skin is very consistent. Since using them, I never felt any dryness on my skin nor roughness on my elbows and knees even if it has been hours since I last applied the lotion. I attribute that to the 100% pure and natural essential oils that these products contain.

I highly recommend Spa Essentials' shower gels and body lotions to women who are looking for great bath and body products with all-natural ingredients. The Energy line contains a peppermint, may chang, and lemongrass blend while Stress Relief has a lavender, sweet orange, and Himalayan Cedarwood blend.
